Have you ever heard, thought, or said those words – “Life is too short?”  If so, what was the context?  Typically, we do so either commenting on something we don’t want to do or on something that we really want to do.  For example – “I can’t believe that I had that same argument with the boss again.  Life is too short for those ridiculous conversations.”  Or “I want to travel to (fill in the blank).  I should probably quit my job and do that because life is too short and I don’t want to miss out.”

Indeed life is short.  But my question would be – when you get to the end, how do you want to have spent your time?  If I knew I had a month left to live, how would I want to spend it?  A month?  That really is short.  If I had a choice to spend that month seeing some beautiful vacation spot or inspire a child to achieve new heights in their life, I would choose the latter in a heartbeat.  Why?  Because “life is too short” not too.

Now I know that you can probably come up with a complicated “what if” scenario to throw me, but I imagine you get the point.  I would simply ask you to consider today – why are you here?  What is your purpose?  And knowing that “life is too short” what opportunity would you not want to miss?  I would love to know your thoughts.
